The Golden Gate Quartet had many releases on Columbia (1946-1951) and it's subsidiary OKeh (1941-1945, 1952), mostly spiritual. They did have one secular release on Columbia as by "The Gates" in 1948."The General Jumped At Dawn" by Paul Whiteman And Orchestra was among the first releases on the new Capitol label in 1942. In addition to The Four Jacks and Hollywood Arist-O-Kats versions (see above), "I Will Be Home Again" was done by The Selah Jubilee Quartet on Arista in 1946.
