Above: Herb Lance. He recorded for the Sittin' in with label from 1948 to 1951, then moved to Columbia/Okeh in 1951 and on to Mercury in December 1951, Bruce in 1954 and DeLuxe in 1957. While with Sittin' in with he had at least one other side with vocal group backing.

Above: Label image of Sittin' in with 524 released in August 1949. The vocal group backing Herb is The Beavers. It was their first record. They also had three releases on Coral as The Beavers (1949-50) and one on Decca as The Hamptones (1950).
