Above: Label images for Gotham G738 A released July 1953 and 20th Century TC-5020 released in March 1954. After first recording for Decca in the 1940's and early 1950's, The Harmonizing Four had many records on the Gotham label in the early to mid-1950's, and then moved on to the Vee-Jay label. Billy Murray And The 4 Cousins had one more release on 20th Century in September 1954. Gotham and 20th Century were owned by Gotham Record Corporation in Philadelphia.

Gotham and 20th Century were owned by Ivin Ballen. Affiliated labels were Apex, Music Master and Phenix. Gotham had been founded by Sam Goode circa 1946. Ballen acquired Goode's interest circa January 1948.
