Above: Still clip of The Jones Boys from the 1936 movie "The Big Show" starring Gene Autry. This group consisted of Jimmy Springs, William Bartley, Herman Wood, Louis Wood, and Charles Hopkins. Springs (front center in photo) would later become the tenor lead of The Five Red Caps.
Above: Label image for Ram Recordings B-3048. The Five Jones Boys recorded several transcription discs (circa 1936-37) as well as two releases on the Variety label (1937). In 1937, they joined members of The Four Blackbirds to form The Jones Boys Sing Band.
