Previous Vocal Group Record of the Week
#531 (Week of 8/11/07 - 8/17/07)

"Waiting All My Life For You"/"Dreaming Of The Ladies In The Moon"
by The Original Jubalaires
on Crown 111
released in 1954

Above: The Jubalaires pictured here are: (L to R) Orville Brooks, Ted Brooks, Caleb Ginyard and George McFadden. Not sure who was in the "Original Jubalaires" group, except it included one of the two Brooks. Caleb Ginyard had gone on to form The Du-Droppers in 1952. Orville Brooks had been singing with The Golden Gate Quartet in the early 1950s and in 1953 joined Gene Mumford to form the second Larks group. Orville Brooks (along with Ted Brooks, George McFadden, John Jennings, and Bill Lee Johnson-guitarist) had previously recorded "I've Waited All My Life For You" for the Coral label in 1948.

Above: Label image for Crown 111. This is the first of two records (both in 1954) that the group released on Jules Bihari's Crown label in Los Angeles.
