Above Left: Label image for Aladdin 3211 released in 1953. This is the first of two releases by The Ebonaires on Aladdin (1953). The group had earlier releases on M-G-M (1949), Modern (1949), and Colonial, a subsidiary of Modern (1950). They also backed Hadda Brooks on Modern (1949) and both Johnny Lee and Monette Moore on Columbia (1949).Trade Magazine (October 1953): MAXIE'S BACK: Leo and Eddie Mesner of Aladdin happy now that arranger Maxwell Davis is back from the East to handle their recording sessions. They're excited about their new one with the Ebonaires singing "Baby You're the One" and "Three O'Clock in the Morning" ...
Above Right: Label image for Debonair 113 released in 1957. Interesting that Brooks is also shown as co-composer on the earlier Aladdin release, but his trio gets to perform the tune on Debonair some four years later. And is it Walsh or Welch who should share the credit?
