Rudy Greene is an R&B enigma, and yet he managed to record some great material for some prestigeous R&B labels, spanning the seminal R&B years of the late 40s to the Rock 'n' Roll era of the late 50s! He sang and played guitar, and his roots were based upon T-Bone Walker! However, over the span of his career, he managed to incorporate many R&B styles into his records. Just what was his real style is anyone's guess, but the music he sang and played speaks for itself. At times one may hear Louis Jordan, Billy Eckstine, T-Bone, Jimmy Witherspoon, Wilbert Harrison, Nappy Brown, and Mickey Baker. He never really had a major charted hit, but played the R&B circuit for over 15 years. Today his records are sought after by collectors, and quite scarce. Now you have it all on this one CD!
