Above: This is an advertisement for RCA Victor's "Magic Brain" Victrola from a Bluebird record sleeve ca 1944. Was this the forerunner to Compact Disc technology ("Jewel Lite Scanner")? Not really, but it certainly does seem better than anything I was aware of from this time period!
