[Lord Essex Scott was the nephew of Ivory Joe Hunter. Scott worked for Earl "Fatha" Hines in 1945 as band vocalist. In 1953, he replaced Deek Watson in Charlie Fuqua's Ink Spots. Later he joined Orlando Roberson, Bernie Mackey, and Sam Pierce in the Fabulous Ink Spots.]
