Prior to their one release on Abbey (1952), they recorded for Musicraft (1948, as King Odom Quartet) and Derby (1950-51). They also had one release on Perspective (1954, as The King Odom Quartette).

Abbey Label-King Odom Four-1952
Above: Label image for Abbey 15064 released in March 1952. This is a vinyl "Disk Jockey Record". King Odom sings lead on this one. Both sides of the record feature violins, unusual for an r&b group on an independent label at that time (The Ink Spots started using violins on their records in 1949).
