Above: Label image of Decca 8507 recorded on October 25, 1940 and released in April 1941. The flip side is "Please, Mister Johnson" with vocal by Ella Johnson. The Mack Sisters had four releases on Decca (1939-41) and one record on the Chicago label (1945).

The record number range of 7500-7910 was Decca's Race series (1938-42) and 8500-8672 was their Sepia series (1940-45). Notice the overlap of 1940-42.

Buddy Johnson had a long and popular career on Decca from the late 1930's to the late 1950's before moving to Roulette and then Mercury in the early 1960's.
