Above: The Admirals, besides back-up duties, had two releases on their own for the King label in 1955. As The Sultans, they had four records on the Duke label, three in 1954 and one more in 1957. The Sultans/Admirals consisted of Willie Barnes (lead tenor), Wesley Devereaux (1st tenor), Eugene McDaniels (2nd tenor), Richard Beasley (bass), and James Farmer (baritone).
